As a stay-at-home dad (with a 10 month old) who is new the suburbs I wanted to start a group to meet other parents and kids in the neighborhood. I'd love to plan fun outings to the park, the library, the pool, etc. as well as casual play dates at home. I'm excited to meet other parents who are going a little stir crazy staying at home all day.

I moved to Chicago fairly recently for a nanny position, and was very surprised that with all of the nannies in this city, there's not many support groups for them. Ideally I would like for this group to be a way for nannies to meet others who are in their industry. Our job can be very isolating, so it's great to get out and meet other people! Personally, I would love to be able to arrange playdates or maybe a cocktail after a long day at work!
I was looking to join a Moms group in hopes to spend (the little) time with my daughter while seeking support and relax socially with other women with kids. I kept running into daytime meetups and events, and specific descriptions of groups where I did not fit. The purpose of this group is to reach out to other everyday working moms with not-so-flexible schedules who need an outlet and do not have the luxury to call a babysitter when a break is much needed.
